Bendel Insurance sad with home defeat to Bayelsa United

Bendel Insurance were disappointed with the result of their final game of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season versus Bayelsa United.

On Sunday, the Benin Arsenals lost 2-0 to their guests at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.

Okorie Ekeson and Tekena Garando scored for Bayelsa United in the game.

Bendel Insurance regarded the team's defeat as a painful experience.

"It was an unpleasant experience for us on the last day of the Premier League football season in Benin," the club said on their official X account.

"Losing 2-0 to a relegation-threatened Bayelsa United makes us sick with a heavy dull moment in the camp."

Bendel Insurance finished the campaign in ninth place, collecting 53 points from 38 matches.
