Ayeni joins race for Kano Pillars technical adviser job

Former Akwa United coach Deji Ayeni has entered the race for the vacant Kano Pillars technical adviser role.

The post became vacant after Abdullahi Maikaba resigned at the end of previous season.

Ahmad Garba Yaro Yaro worked with the club on an interim basis throughout the rest of the season.

TalkTalk Nigeria previously stated that former Katsina United coach Usman Abdullahi is among the candidates for the role.

Ayeni was previously in command of Akwa United, the Nigeria Premier Football League champions.

The new technical adviser is scheduled to be named prior to the commencement of the 2024-25 NPFL season.
