Transfer: Nwakaeme returns to Trabzonspor on two-year contract

Trabzonspor have revealed that Anthony Nwakaeme has returned to the club on a two-year contract.

After leaving Saudi side Al-Feiha, the Nigerian returned to the Turkish Super Lig on a free transfer.

Nwakaeme previously played four years with Trabzonspor until leaving on a free transfer in 2022.

The 35-year-old earned the Turkish League title during his final season with the club.

The strong forward also scored 41 goals in 120 league matches throughout that time.

Nwakaeme stated that he was delighted to return to Trabzonspor.

"I'm really thrilled today. After a 2-year absence, the player has returned to Trabzonspor. "Our fans made me feel that love never ended on social media, as if I had never left, as if I was continuing to play here," he stated on the club's official website.

"You have no idea what will happen in life, and you may not be able to anticipate what will happen in the future, but I am here right now. And I'm really happy to be here. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this transfer.

"This is where I am accustomed to. This is the place I know. Because I understand what type of club this is.

This is a club that strives to win every match it plays.

"I know that our fans also want this and I will always do my best."
