AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Super Eagles will host Benin Republic in opening
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the Super Eagles will begin their qualifying campaign at home against neighbours Benin Republic.
Gernot Rohr, the former Super Eagles head coach, now manages the Cheetahs.
The Super Eagles will then fly to Kigali to face Rwanda's Amavubi on matchday two.
The first and second matches will be held in September.
Nigeria will play a doubleheader against Libya's Mediterranean Knights in October.
In November, the Super Eagles will play away to Benin and at home to Rwanda to conclude their qualifying campaign.
The top two teams in the group will advance to the AFCON 2025 finals, which will be hosted by Morocco.
