Four players battle for Remo Stars’ Players of the Season award

TalkTalk Nigeria reported that four players have been nominated for the Remo Stars Player of the Season award.

The four players' names are Sikiru Alimi, Ismail Ismail, Jide Fatokun, and Ahmed Akinyele.

Alimi finished as the Sky Blue Stars' top goalscorer with 16 goals.

Ismail had an excellent season for Daniel Ogunmodede's team.

His supply from the right-back position contributed to Remo Stars' goal totals this season.

Ismail finished the league with 15 assists and was called up to the Super Eagles for a double-header against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Fatokun was also a top performer for the Ikenne club.

The enterprising midfielder served as the link between the Remo Stars' defence and attack.

He scored twice for the Ikenne-based team.
Akinyele, an academy graduate, scored two goals this season.

The award winner is anticipated to be announced this week.
