Transfer: Al Ittihad, De Bruyne have no deal — Romano
Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer analyst, has denied suggestions that Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne has decided to leave the Etihad Stadium for Al Ittihad.
Earlier reports said that De Bruyne had secured an agreement with the Saudi Arabian club during the summer transfer window.
However, in a tweet on X, Romano denied the allegation as false.
He revealed that the Saudi Arabian club is interested in signing De Bruyne's Manchester City teammate, Ederson.
"Saudi sources are downplaying news of Kevin de Bruyne signing an agreement with Al Ittihad, saying it is NOT true.
"Al Ittihad is focusing on the Moussa Diaby deal, which is scheduled to be completed very soon.
"Next step for Saudi club will be new goalkeeper, with Éderson talks underway but not easy," Romano tweeted on Sunday.
