Paris 2024: How Super Falcons can beat Spain – Waldrum
Randy Waldrum, Super Falcons head coach, has encouraged his players to put on their scoring boots when they face Spain today.
The former African champions put on a strong performance in their 1-0 loss to Brazil on Thursday.
Waldrum's side squandered three golden opportunities in the first 25 minutes of the closely contested game.
Waldrum noted before of his team's match against world champions Spain that they must be clinical in front of goal.
"Our ability to be more clinical with our chances is going to be critical. "We have to do a better job [of that] because you're not going to get 10-12 shots against these teams," Waldrum told ESPN.
"You're going to get two or three chances, decent chances probably in the day, and you've got to be good enough to put one in and make sure defensively to keep them from putting goals."
