‘I’m not in rush to be on Rema, Asake’s level’ – Victony
Anthony Victor, often known as Victony, an Afrobeats musician, has stated that he is not in a hurry to reach the same degree of fame as his colleagues Rema and Asake.
He said this in response to assertions made by some social media users that his debut album 'Stubborn' was not "commercially successful" because he didn't have "haters" to post critical comments that would cause it to trend on social media.
Victony responded, saying the assumption was "dumb," and that those pushing the story have high expectations for the album based on his current stature in the music industry.
On his X account, Victony wrote: "Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dumbest stuff I seen cause what's the rush? Everyone want to be Rema and Asake in two hours?"
