Chelsea and Juventus have agreed to swap Sterling and Chiesa.
Chelsea is looking to add some experienced players to Enzo Maresca's roster.
The Blues have selected Juventus' Federico Chiesa as one of these guys.
The west Londoners want a swap deal between Chiesa and Raheem Sterling on or before the transfer deadline.
According to Calciomercato.com, Sterling has not met expectations since signing from Manchester City two summers ago.
Last season, the England international scored 10 goals and assisted eight times in 43 games across all competitions.
However, Juventus is impressed with the former Liverpool and Manchester City star's achievements and wants him to join them in Turin.
The Bianconeri are prepared to let Chiesa go this summer and want the Englishman to take his place.
Chiesa has not been at his best in recent months, but his stock remains high.
The Blues are also interested in signing him and have proposed a swap deal involving the 26-year-old and Sterling.
While Juventus is open to such a deal, the Englishman's hefty salary poses an issue. Sterling’s salary is double that of Chiesa and Juventus can’t afford it.
