'I took 40% of P-Square's revenues, while Peter and Paul received 30% apiece. — Jude Okoye
Jude Okoye, the long-time manager of the dissolved P-Square group, has revealed the group's profit sharing formula in response to Peter's fraud claims against him and Paul.
He indicated that P-Square's profits were divided among him, Peter, and Paul.
He indicated that he took 40% and the duo took 30% each.
Jude Okoye disputed in an Instagram live session on Saturday that he moved millions of dollars in P-Square revenues into a secret account, as claimed by Peter.
He explained, "I went to the EFCC office with only Paul. I did not go with my lawyer. I handed them all the documents, and an officer checked them over and asked if Peter signed. I pointed out his autograph to him. I showed him the CAC credentials used to open Square Records and Northside Entertainment.
"They said you're even more than P-Square. I told you I didn't comprehend what you were saying. They added, "Look, you are entitled to 40% of the shares, while the duo is entitled to 30% each." I replied, well, I’m not supposed to say it with my mouth, you can see for yourself.”
He also stated that he handed a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, to the anti-graft agency to demonstrate that they had all agreed on a sharing formula.
"They [EFCC officers] started asking me some irritable questions like where I got the money to build my house in Ikoyi," Jude told me later. Noting that the project was partially funded by selling his residence in America and borrowing money from colleagues.
"I have not been with P-Square for the past eight years, since 2016," Jude claimed, admitting that the feud between the brothers began in 2013 and lasted until the group's official breakup in 2016.
According to Jude, the situation worsened in 2021 when the brothers sought to reunite, but it failed due to unresolved disputes.
He went on to say that other notable Nigerians have previously attempted to reconcile P-Square but were unsuccessful.
"Emeka Offor, the late Ifeanyi Uba, Dantata, Atiku, Peter Obi, governors, ministers, our village king, etc have all tried to reconcile Psquare to no avail," he claimed.
