EPL: Ten Hag Hints at New Position for Sancho

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United's manager, has hinted that Jadon Sancho could be deployed in a new position.

This comes after the squad sustained multiple injuries throughout the preseason.

Rasmus Hojlund, Leny Yoro, and Victor Lindelof have all sustained various injuries.

Joshua Zirzkee, who joined United this summer from Bologna, has only recently begun practicing with Ten Hag's team.

Zirkzee is unlikely to make the starting lineup in the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Ten Hag told reporters, "If Rasmus is not available, we can play Sancho in the middle."

"But, of course, Joshua Zirkzee is coming in and has started training. However, you must keep in mind that he has only recently begun training, so it will take some time, and he must also adapt to English football and our style of play.

"Of sure, Jadon can play as a striker. We know he can play in a wide range, but also as a false striker, he’s an option.”
