Transfer: He refuses to cut his salary—Romano updates on Chelsea's move for Osimhen

Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer analyst, has maintained that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has refused to cut his wage despite interest from Chelsea.

Romano confirmed this in a tweet on his X account on Monday evening.

According to him, Chelsea is still discussing alternatives with Napoli to pursue Osimhen this summer.

He also stated that Napoli wants Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku, as Osimhen is poised to depart the Serie A club.

"No changes so far on Victor Osimhen deal for Chelsea," Romano tweeted.

"Chelsea are in talks with Napoli; Napoli want Lukaku; Osimhen will NOT decrease his salary, and he is not open to a straight loan/open buy option right now.

"He's still expected to leave Napoli, but no concrete changes yet."
