US election: I've done my study and made my pick - Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris.

She announced this in a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, following the presidential debate.

The endorsement comes shortly after former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris's presidential debate on Tuesday night.

The American singer announced that she will vote for Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.

According to Taylor Swift, she is voting for the Vice President because she fights for the rights and causes she believes require a warrior to champion.

The singer went on to say that Harris is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and that they can accomplish so much more together.

She stated: "I shall be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm rather than chaos."

"I was encouraged and impressed by her choice of running mate @timwalz, who has advocated for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman's right to her own body for decades.
