'Bobrisky just requested assistance to pay for the VIP section in prison.' - Falz told VeryDarkMan.
Folarin Falana, often known as Falz, a well-known Nigerian musician and activist, claims that Bobrisky only approached him for financial assistance while he was in prison.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria, Bobrisky was sentenced for three months after pleading guilty to naira mutilation following his detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was released on August 5th, 2024.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Martins Otse, a well-known self-proclaimed activist and social critic known as VeryDarkMan, published Bobrisky's supposed voice recording.
Bobrisky said in the now-controversial clip that a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, and his son, Falz, helped persuade the EFCC to drop money laundering allegations against him while he was in prison.
In response to the anger, Falz, through his lawyers, Falana & Falana's Chambers, denied initiating conversation with Bobrisky while in prison.
He added that the cross dresser just approached him to request N3 million in financial assistance to pay some authorities in order to be allowed to reside in the Correctional Centre's VIP section.
In a now-viral letter on social media, Falz also accused VeryDarkMan of making a sloppy statement including many claims against him without first contacting him.
