In preparation for the release of 'Don't Tell,' Jaya was formally signed by leading independent publishing company Prescription Songs in collaboration with Disruptive Label Publishing. This global publishing contract puts him alongside renowned artists like Doja Cat and Fridayy, highlighting his rapid rise in the music industry. Jaya has also co-produced and vocalized on a tune from rap superstar Da Baby's next album, displaying his versatility.

David Johnson, often known as Jaya, is a popular Nigerian singer and composer. His music combines Afrobeats, Dancehall, R&B, and Pop, giving it a global reach. Jaya's eclectic style, which draws inspiration from artists such as Fela Kuti, Wizkid, Drake, and Chris Brown, captures the soul of Africa. His musical adventure began as a church drummer, and he grew into a gifted singer at a young age.

In addition to his singing career, Jaya is a prolific songwriter, lending his abilities to notable African singers like Asake  RunTown, Tiwa Savage, SkiiBii, and Spinall, solidifying his role in the industry.

Jaya met Rob Jua, an African-American music executive, via Instagram, which led to his contract with Disruptive Label. Jaya has since worked on Da Baby's upcoming album "Jonathan" as well as tracks for Rihanna, Oxlade, the soundtrack to "The Lion King 2" and several of Nigeria's biggest talents.
