UNL: I don't break records - Cristiano Ronaldo reacts after scoring 900th goal
Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's captain, has remarked about his latest football milestone.
The former Manchester United star made a significant claim after scoring the 900th goal of his career in Portugal's 2-1 victory over Croatia in Lisbon on Thursday.
The 39-year-old scored from close range after Nuno Mendes' excellent cross.
The former Real Madrid star became the first player to reach 900 goals.
After the match against Croatia, Cristiano Ronaldo stated (via Fabrizio Romano): "900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to score your 900th goal."
"It's a unique achievement in my career. "I don't break records—they haunt me!"
Lionel Messi is the lone player behind Ronaldo, currently on 838 goals for club and country.
