UNL: Bruno Fernandes offers conditions for Ronaldo to lead Portugal at the 2026 World Cup.
Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United's star, has stated that his national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, must feel good in order to continue playing for Portugal.
Ronaldo scored in the 34th minute to help Portugal defeat Croatia 2-1 in the first round of the UEFA Nations League on Thursday in Lisbon.
The goal marked the 39-year-old's 900th goal in his remarkable career. The Al Nassr leader has set an aim of 1000 goals for himself.
After Portugal's victory, Fernandes was asked about Ronaldo potentially leading Portugal to the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
And the Manchester United captain added, "He [Ronaldo] has to feel well. It depends on him. I'm confident he'll make judgments that are best for him and the team."
Ronaldo has scored a record-breaking 131 goals for Portugal, 450 for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, 101 for Juventus, 68 for Al-Nassr, and five for Sporting CP.
