AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Results of today’s matches

Nigeria's Super Eagles defeated the Republic of Benin 3-0 to take the lead in Group D after one game.

Nigeria won against Benin thanks to two goals from Ademola Lookman and one from substitute Victor Osimhen.
Cameroon won the other AFCON qualifier on Saturday, defeating Namibia 1-0 at Roumdé Adjia Stadium.

The Indomitable Lions had to fight hard for the victory, with Namibia posing a stiff challenge.

Cameroon took all three points after Vincent Aboubakar scored the game's sole goal in the second half.

In another AFCON qualifier played today, Mauritania defeated Botswana 1-0 in Nouakchott.

Sidi Amar's 84th-minute goal gave the Mourabitounes an important victory to start their AFCON qualifying campaign.

The game was cagey, with Mauritania dominating possession but unable to break down a tenacious Botswana defense.
