Arsenal Stay in Title Race with 2-0 Win Over Leicester
Arsenal kept their Premier League title dreams alive with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City, despite missing key attacking players due to injuries.
With Kai Havertz ruled out for the season, Mikel Arteta was forced to field a side without a recognized striker, opting instead for a fluid front line featuring Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard, and Ethan Nwaneri.
While the Gunners struggled to create clear-cut chances in the first half, a tactical switch in the second half proved decisive. Arteta introduced Mikel Merino in a false nine role, and the move paid off.
The Spaniard opened the scoring with a towering header from Nwaneri’s cross before sealing the win by finishing off a Trossard assist from the left.
Title Race Heats Up
The win moves Arsenal to 53 points, four behind league leaders Liverpool, who face Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.
With the season entering its crucial stage, Arsenal fans will hope Arteta’s men can maintain momentum—but will they be able to cope without a natural No. 9 for the rest of the campaign?
