FCT Police PRO Warns Women: "Don't Mistake Temporary Passion for Lasting Love"
The Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), SP Josephine Adeh, has advised women to be cautious in relationships, emphasizing that a man who easily replaces one woman will likely do it again.
Her statement comes after Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru, adopted singer 2Face Idibia’s surname, just hours after his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, reverted to her maiden name following their split.
Adeh's Advice: Protect Your Heart and Future
In a post on her X handle (formerly Twitter), Adeh warned against mistaking fleeting passion for true love, urging women to protect their hearts, finances, and future.
"A man who easily replaces a woman will do it again. How he treats women is a reflection of his character. His children are watching (if any), and so is the world."
She further cautioned women not to lose their dignity over a title or a relationship that might not last.
"If he left her for you, don’t celebrate just yet—your turn may come. Love is sweet, but wisdom is necessary."
Opinion: A Hard Truth Many Ignore
Adeh's words strike a chord in today's world, where social media glorifies relationships without addressing the harsh realities behind them. While love can be intoxicating, wisdom and self-respect should never be compromised.
Her message serves as a reminder for women to prioritize self-worth over societal validation—because at the end of the day, true love should bring security, not uncertainty.
