The recent pandemic impacted a lot of industries but the entertainment industry took the worst hit. Mostly because watching movies and shooting movies is a communal experience. However, as 2022 is right around the corner - we can hope for a better future for our actors due to the vaccine rollout. So, to celebrate and hype up our actors, we have compiled a list of actors that you should look out for in 2022.

Jim Iyke

Jim Iyke, also known as James Ikechuku Esomugha is one of the most famous actors in Nigeria. His most loved projects include Last flight to Abuja. According to sources, he has done a total of 150 films.

On top of this, he also released his own album called “who am I?” and collaborated with several Nigerian musicians. In 2022 he has a couple of projects lined up and will most likely fill up for the break he took from shooting due to the pandemic.

Baaj Adebule

Baaj Adebule is a Nigerian TV actor who has featured in a couple of TV shows during 2020 despite the lockdowns as they were shot beforehand. But, due to his spectacular performances in ‘Hit and Run’ and ‘Soldier’s Story: Return From The Dead’ he was trending on Nigerian social media pages for days.

The main reason why you should look out for him in 2022 is because of his upcoming show named “country hard”. On top of this, after his directorial debut “Come with me” he will be working on new projects.

Bucci Franklin

Bucci featured in “AY’s Crib” in 2013 and kickstarted his acting career. After that, he featured in movies like “knockout Blessing” and “Being Mrs. Elliot”. However, his biggest break was in 2020 when he was acted in ‘Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story’.

‘Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story’ was the biggest release of the year and therefore there are many chances of him getting bigger projects in the future. On top of this, Bucci has a lot of followers on Instagram as people love the way he styles his clothes. All of these reasons make him a potential future superstar.

Eso Dike

Eso is a hardworking gentleman who has broken his back trying to get into mainstream acting since 2015. Since his first appearance in “Tinsel,” he has done a handful of projects like “Man of her dreams”

Apart from his film career, Eso also dived into the world of television and acted in a number of shows like “The Smart Money Woman”. In 2022 he will feature in many projects that are in the pipeline. And, due to his killer looks - you will get to see him in many fashion campaigns (we are not complaining).

Karibi Fubara

Karibi is both an actor and producer. He has done a lot of projects but the most famous one is his latest production on Netflix called “We Speak Dance”. Although he is a veteran in the field and has worked for over 15 years - in 2020 we are rooting to see more of him. As he took a break in 2020 due to Kidney Cancer. Now, Karibi has recovered and a lot of new things are lined up for him. We wish him all the best in his new ventures!
