JUST IN: Two trapped, many injured as 5-story building collapses in Onitsha.

An uncompleted five-story building on Basden Street in Fegge, Onitsha, Anambra State, allegedly collapsed early Sunday morning, trapping two people inside.
According to the Nation, excavators are working at the area to rescue the trapped people, dead or alive.

Hon. Emeka Orji, Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area, is on hand to coordinate the rescue of the stranded individuals.
According to a resident of the area who pleaded anonymity, “The building started from the 5th floor to collapse.

“They are up to two workers in the building that are trapped with scores injured and have been rushed to undisclosed hospitals.”

As at the time of filing this report, efforts were on by both security personnel and sympathizers towards rescuing the trapped people.
