FA Cup Semi-Finals: Manchester City Knock Out Chelsea

FA Cup Semi-Finals: Manchester City Knock Out Chelsea

Chelsea's 2023-2024 season will officially end without a trophy as Manchester City knocked them out of the English FA Cup.
Chelsea looked more potential from the first to the second half of the game, but they failed to capitalize on several opportunities.

Nicolas Jackson had the majority of Chelsea's chances to take the lead, but he was unable to convert them.

Chelsea's ten chances, five of which were on target, failed to yield a crucial goal for coach Mauricio Porchetino's side.

Chelsea's best moments occurred in the first half, when Manchester City had no opportunity for most of the half. The Blues created additional chances right after the second half began, but they failed to convert them.

After a succession of missed opportunities for both Manchester City and Chelsea, the Citizens ultimately broke the deadlock in the 84th minute with Bernardo Silva's tap-in following a confused moment of defending.

Manchester City's 1-0 victory advanced them to the final of the 2023-2024 FA Cup, keeping their hopes of capturing two trophies this season alive.

Manchester City will face Manchester United or Coventry in the FA Cup final on May 25.

The second semi-final, between United and Coventry, will take place on Sunday, April 21, at 3:30 p.m.
