Nigeria to host Davis Cup in Abuja
The International Tennis Federation has announced that Abuja, Nigeria's capital, will host Group III of this year's Davis Cup Championship.
Nigeria and Ghana returned to Group III from the Group IV championships held in Kigali, Rwanda in 2023, and the team will now compete in Group III with the primary goal of advancing to Group II in 2025.
Nigeria will compete for promotion against Benin Republic, Namibia, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Zimbabwe from July 15 to 20, 2024.
The matches will be played in round robin format, with the top three teams promoted to Group II in 2025 and the bottom two relegated to Group IV in 2025.
