Singer Simi faults Police for ‘counselling’ man arrested for posting daughter’s naked pictures online
Simisola Kosoko, nicknamed Simi, has chastised the Nigeria Police for claiming they will "counsel" Musa Suleman, the Edo father arrested for exposing his four-year-old daughter, Sarah Suleman, a child model, to adult content on social media.
While responding to an X user who brought the immoral act to his attention on Sunday, Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that the father had been arrested.
He did, however, say that the Edo State Police Command will "counsel the parents rather than prosecute them."
The PFRO stated, "This is an act of obscenity that exposes the young child to moral hazards. Instead of prosecuting the parents, Edo Command's PPRO will take up the matter and counsel them. Most of us don’t know the implications of what we do. We will educate them, and many alike. This kind of a thing will expose the girl to the rots in our system and moral dangers. Not in all cases we prosecute, there is a room for ADR and CSR in our duties, and we shall be adopting such. @EdoPoliceNG, @PoliceNG.”
Simi criticized the police for deciding to advise the parents rather than prosecute them.
She added, "You want to 'guide' parents who shamelessly and regularly sexually violate their baby??? A four-year-old youngster! What is going on???? Omg."
