Dino Melaye, the former Kogi State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has joined the ongoing rivalry between Nigerian Afrobeats megastars Wizkid and Davido.

Davido, according to Melaye, is "undoubtedly" the leader of the Nigerian music industry and the most commercially successful globally.

On Wednesday, he said on his X account, "Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally."

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, Wizkid and Davido recently engaged in a furious social media war on X.

Davido later challenged Wizkid to a hit battle, but the Starboy boss has yet to respond.
