NPFL: Mohammed rues missed chances in Niger Tornadoes’ narrow defeat to Heartland
Majin Mohammed, head coach of the Niger Tornadoes, lamented his team's defeat against Heartland on wasted chances.
Heartland defeated the Ikon Allah Boys 1-0 on Saturday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Chukwudi Esobe scored the game-winning goal for the home team.
"So far, so good; we had opportunities but failed to take them," he said in a post-match interview.
"In terms of the league, the Niger Tornadoes are still in danger of relegation because the competition is extremely fierce.
"All we need to do is take all the maximum points in our final home game against Sunshine Stars next weekend."
The Niger Tornadoes are ranked 12th in the table, with 48 points from 37 games.
