Transfer: Casemiro told to leave Man United
Manchester United's midfielder, Casemiro, has been told to quit the club.
Former Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva stated that the former Real Madrid star is still a terrific player who should join Arsenal.
Last season, Casemiro faced criticism from fans and critics alike for his poor performances for the Red Devils.
The 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder played 32 games for the Red Devils in all competitions, primarily as a defender.
Silva told Bet365: "We have to analyse the team as a whole, not individual players like Casemiro." Manchester United did not have a fantastic season; they had some good performances, but having a bad season affects everyone.
"Some players are impacted more than others, and I was astonished by how heavily criticized Casemiro was by commentators. They just need to relax and see the big picture.
"For me, Casemiro remains a good player. I don't know if he'll stay with the club, but he's a player I'd like to have on my squad.
"I believe he still has the skill and capacity to stay in the Premier League, whether with United or another team.
"It depends on what he and the club want to do." I hope he finds a club that meets his expectations.
"Casemiro could be a good fit for Arsenal; let us wait and see what happens." It would be really interesting if Thomas Partey left the club.
"If that spot becomes available, then it would be interesting to see Casemiro there, he would bring a very strong and stable option to their midfield."
