EPL: Man City to make Foden highest-paid British player
According to the UK Sun, Manchester City are set to offer Phil Foden a new deal worth £375,000 per week.
Foden took over as City's primary creative outlet last season after Kevin De Bruyne was sidelined for much of the season due to injury.
The 24-year-old scored 19 Premier League goals and assisted eight times as the club won a record-breaking fourth straight league title.
The English midfielder was also named FWA Footballer of the Year for the first time.
In 2022, Foden agreed to a five-year contract worth more than £200,000 per week, including bonuses, with his boyhood club.
However, City hopes to reward him with a considerably enhanced new contract this summer.
Foden's contract would make him the highest-paid British player of all time.
