Euro 2024: Mourinho predicts what’ll happen to Cristiano Ronaldo
Jose Mourinho, the manager of Fenerbahce, believes Cristiano Ronaldo will score goals and play an important role for Portugal at the upcoming Euro 2024 in Germany.
Ronaldo is preparing for his 11th major event, having debuted for Portugal in Euro 2004.
The 39-year-old forward recently wrapped up a successful season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr, scoring 50 goals in 51 games.
Despite his good form, Ronaldo will have heavy competition for a starting berth in Portugal's roster from Liverpool's Diogo Jota, PSG's Goncalo Ramos, and Joao Felix, who spent last season on loan at Barcelona.
Speaking about the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player, Mourinho told RTP, "Cristiano is the one who knows how he feels, what his ambitions are, how the coach wants to utilize him, whether to play every minute of every game or protect him at important times.
"However, there is a lot going on within that comes between them. He wields considerable power and will accomplish his objectives.
"I don't believe he will leave the European Championship without goals."
