Euro 2024: Cristiano Ronaldo has every reason to cry – Adebayor

Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo has every reason to cry.

Remember that Ronaldo recently fell into tears after missing a Euro 2024 penalty against Slovenia.

The 34-year-old attacker was visibly upset after missing a penalty in the first half of Portugal's Round of 16 match with Slovenia.

Speaking about the development, Adebayor, Ronaldo's former Real Madrid teammate, remarked (via Al Nassr Zone):

"Kicking a penalty kick for your country is an amazing experience; the entire country is watching you, especially if your name is Ronaldo.

"From an emotional standpoint, Cristiano has every justification to cry. "If you're not a footballer, you won't understand," he added.

Ronaldo will look to lead Portugal to victory when they face France in the Euro 2024 last eight on Friday.
