Euro 2024: Van Dijk to consider Netherlands, Liverpool future
Virgil van Dijk, the Netherlands captain, has said that he will assess his future for both club and country over the next few weeks.
On Wednesday night, England eliminated Van Dijk and his teammates from the Euro 2024 tournament.
Although the Dutch grabbed an early lead, the Three Lions rallied to win the semi-final match 2-1 in Dortmund.
Van Dijk, who has 75 caps for the Netherlands in nine years, is already looking ahead to the next stage of his career.
The 33-year-old has one season left on his Liverpool contract.
"I have no idea right now. This summer, I will carefully consider what I want at club level and as an international player. "We'll go for it again, but first we have to recover from this," Van Dijk told reporters.
"After a season like this, where all kinds of things have happened, it gets emotional at the end because you know it's over."
