UEFA releases new club rankings [Top 20]
On Friday, UEFA released the latest club rankings.
Manchester City is ranked first, despite failing to win back-to-back Champions League titles.
Real Madrid, which eventually won the cup, is in second place.
Bayern Munich is placed third after missing out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool rounds out the top five, followed by Rome.
Chelsea are the next Premier League team in the coefficient, in ninth place, followed by Manchester United in 14th, West Ham in 16th, and Arsenal in 19th.
The UEFA club coefficients are derived using a team's performance in European competitions over the preceding five seasons.
The rankings also influence how clubs are seeded in UEFA draws for future European events.
