Obianuju Udeh, also known as DJ Switch, has praised the recent ECOWAS Community Court of Justice decision on the controversial #EndSARS demonstration as a victory.

DJ Switch stated that she and other victims were confident that the facts and evidence submitted to the court would be indisputable, even in the face of discouragement.

TalkTalk Nigeria remembers that an ECOWAS court recently ordered the Federal Government to pay DJ Switch, Perpetual Kamsi, and Dabiraoluwa Adeyinka N2 million apiece for violating their rights.

However, DJ Switch stated that she was unable to communicate the emotional anguish they all experienced and the life choices they needed to undertake.

She stated they were able to work through it, and that the ECOWAS court decision had a beneficial impact.

On Thursday, she posted on her X handle, "#ENDSARS: After a three-year battle against the Nigerian government at the ECOWAS court, justice was served yesterday!" We won!

"Like many of you, I have little to no faith in any branch of service in Nigeria, but the ECOWAS court is the continent's highest court, and while many find humor and make jokes about its chairman being Nigeria's illegal president, Bola Tinubu, we forged ahead, hoping and trusting that the facts and evidence we had and presented to the court would be irrefutable.

"For those who remark, 'After how many years? I want you to understand that most court cases take a long time, especially when the respondent (in this case, the Nigerian government) attempts to thwart you! Either failing to appear on scheduled court dates or requesting adjournments due to a lack of preparedness, among other ridiculous excuses. Still, we had to be patient and steadfast in our pursuit.

"I can't convey the emotional anguish we've all gone through or the life changes we've had to make, but happily, with professional support, we've been able to work through it, and this ruling has definitely had a beneficial impact.

"I never wavered in my shared experience, and I am grateful to my lawyers for presenting our experiences and evidence with tact and also grateful to the esteemed judges for doing their due diligence.

"Sitting in court yesterday and hearing the judges' verdict indicting the Nigerian government for the crime they committed on October 20, 2020, was one of the best days of my life since that horrific day, and it also legally vindicates us all." If there is no opportunity for corruption to thrive, the people benefit.

"Unless the government refuses to obey the court's instructions, I will be able to finally go on to other topics that I intend to share with you all.

"Naysayers, yell all you want! The identity of the culprits has now been formally documented in history."
