EPL: Liverpool appoints new coach to help Slots
Liverpool announced on Wednesday that John Heitinga will be their assistant coach for the men's first squad.
Heitinga joins head coach Arne Slot's staff ahead of the start of 2024-2025.
Liverpool confirmed this in a statement on their website.
Heitinga made his mark as a centre-back during his playing career.
The 40-year-old earned 87 caps for the Netherlands and played for Ajax, Atletico Madrid, Everton, Fulham, and Hertha BSC before retiring in 2016.
Heitinga served as first-team assistant coach at West Ham United last season.
