EPL: Liverpool overtakes Man City and Arsenal to top the table after Wolves win
Liverpool will be top of the Premier League heading into the next round of games, following their close 2-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday evening.
Arne Slot's men entered the game knowing that three points would propel them to the summit.
Manchester City drew 1-1 at Newcastle United, while Arsenal defeated Leicester City 4-2.
The results saw City and Arsenal tie for first place with 14 points.
However, Mohamed Salah's second-half penalty gave Liverpool 15 points after Rayan Ait-Nouri cancelled out Ibrahima Konate's opening.
Chelsea is currently in fourth place, with 13 points.
