Cardi B, an American rapper, has called for a truce between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, thousands of people have been murdered and displaced since the Israel-Hamas conflict started on October 7.

Cardi B urged her country to act, stating that she would only support a candidate for the forthcoming presidential election if a cease-fire was negotiated in Gaza.

During a recent social media conversation with followers, the rapper stated, "I want a ceasefire. I desire a peace accord between Palestine and Israel.

"I just want innocent people to stop dying. If it happens, I'll support anyone."

Cardi B told Rolling Stone in May that she would not vote in the November election if the two major contenders were incumbents, Democratic Party President Joe Biden and his Republican Party predecessor, Donald Trump.

However, on Sunday, President Joe Biden resigned as the Democratic Party's candidate and endorsed his vice, Kamala Harris, as the party's flagbearer.

Cardi B hailed the revelation on social media, claiming she had anticipated it.
