Preseason: You spent billions—Wrexham coach mocks Chelsea after 2-2 match.
Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson believes his club should have beaten "billion-pound team" Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.
Jack Marriott and Luke Bolton scored in the second half to give the League One club the lead after Christopher Nkunku's first-half goal.
However, Lesley Ugochukwu rescued the Blues' blushes with an equaliser in the 82nd minute.
After the game, Parkinson stated, "You have to put things in context. We've played against a billion-pound squad that has spent a lot of money, and we were in the National League two years ago.
"To go toe-to-toe with Chelsea tonight, you can understand what an effort that was from the lads and we could and should have won the game."
