Kazakhstan won its first medal at Paris 2024.

Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev of Kazakhstan earned the first medal of the 2024 Olympic Games, taking bronze in the 10-metre mixed team air rifle event.

Le and Satpayev defeated Germany's Maximilian Ulbrich and Anna Janssen 17-5 at Chateauroux.

The combo is ranked below Ulbruch and Janssen.

Kazakhstan earned its first medal in a shooting event since 1996.

The 2024 Olympic Games officially began on Friday night with the opening ceremony.
