Transfer: Arsenal to hijack Chelsea's bid for Osimhen.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal is preparing to hijack Chelsea's offer to buy Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
The Gunners were among the clubs interested in the Nigerian striker last summer.
However, Mikel Arteta cooled his interest in Osimhen this year, instead attempting to sign Benjamin Sesko.
With Sesko deciding to stay with RB Leipzig, Arteta is considering other alternatives on the market.
Chelsea is presently negotiating a loan plus swap deal that will send Romelu Lukaku to Napoli and bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal is said to be back in the race, however they have yet to make an offer.
Arteta would also consider Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. In 33 league games with the Verde e Brancos, the Swedish attacker scored 29 goals and assisted 10 times.
