NNL debunks October kick-off date for new season

The Nigerian National League has denied suggestions that the 2024/25 season will begin in October.

Emmanuel Attah, NNL's Chief Operating Officer, stated that protocols must be followed before a new season date is announced.

"We cannot just stay in the office to decide the League's kick-off date," he told the journalists.

"We need to have the body's Annual General Meeting to evaluate the previous season and approve the upcoming season.

"We have no idea where the October kick-off date came from.

"To the best of my knowledge we have not fixed any date for the kick-off of the NNL, when such happens, we will let everyone know."
