Euro 2024: Diogo Jota must be disappointed – Ian Wright slams Ronaldo
Ian Wright, an Arsenal star, has blasted Cristiano Ronaldo following his efforts at Euro 2024.
Wright stated that Ronaldo simply cannot handle the level of competition at this time.
Ronaldo arrived in Germany after scoring 35 Saudi Pro League goals during the previous season.
He was, however, unable to affect his team's performance.
Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Wright told GOAL, "The way he played in Euro 2024, as fantastic as he's been, surely Diogo Jota must be frustrated that he couldn't get on the pitch. "From what I saw of him, he can't compete at this level right now."
Ronaldo will be almost 40 years old when Portugal competes in their next major competition, the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
It seems improbable that he will play an important part in the competition.
