Oladips calls out Wizkid for ‘stealing’ his lyrics
Oladips, a Nigerian rapper, has accused Grammy-winning artist Wizkid of intellectual property theft.
The rapper claimed that Wizkid stole some of the lyrics from his song 'Ajala Travel remix' for his current duet with Asake, 'MMS.'
Oladips posted screenshots of the lyrics from the two songs to his Instagram account.
A fan told him that sampling was "normal," but he stressed that it only happens when authorized.
He wrote, "It's normal to acknowledge the source!" No, they'll pretend they don't know you, but they'll bite your lyrics for the corner."
Wizkid has yet to respond to the allegations.
