Transfer: MLS club, New England Revolution announces signing of Super Eagles star

The New England Revolution, an MLS club, has confirmed the signing of Alhassan Yusuf, a Super Eagles midfielder.

Yusuf moved to the Revolution from Belgian Pro League club Royal Antwerp for an unknown amount.

The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract with an option for another year.

Caleb Porter, the club's head coach, expressed his delight at Yusuf's arrival.

"Yusuf is an athletic, box-to-box central midfielder with all of the characteristics we look for in our double pivots," he told the club's official website.

"He is very complete on both sides of the ball and will contribute to our defensive success as well as verticality in attack.

"Alhassan Yusuf is another addition who is in the prime of his career and has championship pedigree."
