'I don't feel loved,' says Omah Lay
Omah Lay, an Afrobeats artist, has opened out about his biggest problems in the music industry.
The 'Boy Alone' singer claimed he did not feel loved, particularly by the media and music industry gatekeepers.
Omah Lay revealed in an interview with Amazon Music that he lives in a fantasy world most of the time to escape from what he describes as a'sad reality'.
"I have my fans, family and team but I don't feel loved especially by the media and the people that call themselves the gatekeepers," he told reporters.
"This is something I have never discussed. I am the artist that lives in a fantasy world. I just live in my thoughts 90% of the time."
Omah Lay further stated that being a Nigerian and traveling with a Nigerian passport is difficult.
"Travelling, especially as a Nigerian with a Nigerian passport, has exposed me to the harsh realities of the world.
"The immigration officers often maltreat me once they see the Nigerian passport until they realise that I'm Omah Lay that's when the treatment changes."
