EPL: Details of Arsenal's transaction for Merino

Arsenal's contract with Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino has been revealed.

According to football trade specialist Fabrizio Romano, Merino has reached an agreement to join Arsenal this summer.

In a tweet on X, Romano stated that Merino will travel to London to undertake his Arsenal medical in the coming days.

"Mikel Merino to Arsenal: here we go! "A verbal agreement has been reached for a Spanish midfielder to join the Gunners," Romano wrote on Thursday.

"€32 million + €5 million in add-ons, with favorable payment conditions. Contract runs until 2028.

"Arsenal had been pursuing the Merino deal since the end of July; Merino solely wanted Arsenal.

"He's set to travel for medical, signing until 2028 plus option."
