Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has died.
Sven-Goran Eriksson, a former England manager, has died.
Eriksson's family acknowledged his death on Monday in a brief statement.
"Sven-Goran Eriksson has passed away," the announcement stated.
"After a long illness, SGE died during the morning at home surrounded by family."
The 76-year-old was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
At the start of 2024, the Swede claimed that he only had a year to live "at best".
Eriksson handled notable European clubs including Benfica, Roma, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and Lazio.
