NPFL: Katsina United to honor Maiduguri flood victims
Katsina United has declared that they will observe a minute's silence for the displaced people of Maiduguri on their matchday two.
The Chanji Boys made the announcement through their X account.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Maiduguri due to the recent flood that displaced so many people in the state," according to the press release.
"As a result, we decided to sympathise with the affected by conducting a one-minute silence this weekend before the commencement of our match with Bendel Insurance."
On Sunday, Katsina United will host Bendel Insurance at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the flood has forced thousands of people to leave their homes.
The incident has also led the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to postpone El-Kanemi Warriors clash with Kwara United indefinitely.
