EPL: I couldn't sleep before Arsenal's 1-0 win at Tottenham, Arteta
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, revealed he couldn't sleep much before their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Arteta noted that his game plan was hampered by injuries sustained by some of his players during international week.
Gabriel Magalhaes' 64th-minute header proved to be the difference in the first North London Derby of the season.
Arsenal were without Declan Rice due to suspension, as well as Martin Ødegaard, Mikel Merino, and Riccardo Calafiori who were injured.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney were both ruled out.
"I didn't enjoy [the preparation] because I didn't sleep much," stated Arteta.
"I planned for Spurs for four or five days and had a very specific strategy.
"I organized all of the meetings, training sessions, and everything. Then I get word that we've lost a player, then another, and then another, forcing me to entirely rethink the plan and adjust it to the guys we had available. So, it was an excellent challenge."
