"I started singing before I started talking." - Oxlade

Nigerian artist Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, well known as Oxlade, claims that he began singing before he could speak.


Oxlade stated in a recent episode of the '90s Babies' podcast that his parents told him this.

He claimed that as a child, he would sing quicker than he could talk.

"I began singing before I started talking. "My parents told me that I began singing before I could even speak," he explained.

"I sung faster than I could keep up with the talks. This was what my folks told me. I believe that's where my gift began."
